Python Backend Developer with 3+ years. I build async backend systems with Django and FastAPI, manage multi-server Linux infrastructure, and have shipped everything from a full internal ERP to APIs serving 2,000+ users globally. Currently focused on FastAPI, LLM integration, and cloud-native infrastructure.
Outside work I run a home lab server for local LLM experimentation via Ollama, self-hosted services, and NAS storage. My playground for trying things I can't run in production.

- • Primary backend engineer in a 2-person team. I solely own the supplier portal and external API layer, and handle about 80% of the internal ERP.
- • The ERP covers every business function: HR, attendance, accounting, finance, diamond ops, photography, QC, JQC, assortment, shipments, incentives, live dashboards, and global reports. Runs across 11 branches worldwide, 500+ internal users.
- • Fixed severe ORM performance issues across the ERP (missing select_related, prefetch_related, related_name). Endpoint response times dropped from tens of seconds to milliseconds.
- • Running 5 servers: 2 for the ERP (main + backup, backup also mirrors the supplier portal), one dedicated DB server (MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis), one for the supplier portal, and AWS EC2 for the API layer. Nginx load balancing and Cloudinary CDN in front.
- • The supplier portal is used by 2,000+ active diamond suppliers worldwide to manage bookings, returns, pricing, stone eligibility, shipments, and real-time tracking.
- • Portal stack: FastAPI + aiomysql on MariaDB, JWT + bcrypt auth, CSRF double-submit, Redis sliding-window rate limiting via Lua, Sentry error tracking, Motor async MongoDB audit logging, Jinja2 + Vanilla JS frontend.
- • Also built and maintain a separate API layer for external clients and global integrators: async FastAPI on AWS EC2, GitLab CI/CD pipeline.
- • Custom async logging pipeline using Celery and MongoDB captures every API call, payload, and data change for audit and compliance. Everything runs in Docker; Pytest coverage stays above 85%.

- • Implemented JWT authentication, HSTS, Content-Security-Policy, and X-Frame-Options headers on REST API backends.
- • Ran vulnerability assessments on web application backends; wrote remediation documentation used by the engineering team to patch identified issues.
- • Picked up practical secure coding habits here: input validation, parameterised queries, rate limiting. Applied all of it directly in production work since.
